This thread is aimed at those of us who discovered mesh-29 through Keane. If you're not a Keane fan then please 'be gentle' with us!

It's always difficult to choose just one song, but my favourites would include:- 'On A Day Like Today', 'Fly To Me', 'Atlantic', 'She Opens Her Eyes' and (the song that introduced me to them back in May 2003) 'Everybody's Changing'.

So, what are my fellow Keane fans' favourites?

Not quite a favorite song post, but I do have something to share about Keane.

I had a bit an aversion to them for some time. A lad I used to know at college had the Hopes and Fears CD and I heard his rendition of it many times as he sung along to it during lessons as he listened to it through headphones. So I know the album inside out...karaoke style!

They'd be in that category for me too. Along with 'Put It Behind You'.

I don't like Crystal Ball either, but if we're talking favourites:

1 Frog Prince
2 Thin Air
3 Somewhere Only We Know
4 He Used To Be A Lovely Boy
5 Atlantic
6 Can't Stop Now
7 Snowed Under
8 Hamburg Song
9 To The End Of The Earth
10 Broken Toy

And I can't believe that Bedshaped, Everybody's Changing and Leaving So Soon aren't in my top 10.

LOL Nicky, I thought for a minute we were going to see a clip of Tim with the baby! All is revealed however when you actually watch (and listen to) the clip. Yes, congratulations to Tim & Jayne.

Hopefully the next Keane 'new arrival' (i.e. the third album) will be with us either late this year or early next. It's nice to be able to take a relaxed view of this one. It'll be ready when it's ready and I'm sure it will be be worth the wait (not sure about Tom's reference to "rapping like Satan" though!).

I thought it was great news.
I hope the album doesn't go rap or anything like that. I would like to see it go a little bit more rocker than anything else.

Keane's new song 'Spiralling' is currently available for free download (although you have to be 'registered').

Very different. Very catchy. Does virtually nothing for me though.

I really like 'spiralling' but then I did love the 80's music which this is very much like.It will be interesting to hear the lads play these live it will certainly be a challenge for them, are they up to it?!
I hope the rest of the singles they intend to release will be in disc format and not just downloads,I can't be doing with downloads I need something solid to hold.
