Having said that, I'm forking out the £37.50 (apparently it's in aid of Amnesty International) on the grounds that it's Keane, on a Saturday night, at Shepherd's Bush Empire, which is pretty much my local venue, can you say 'no-brainer'?

Interesting article.

Of course, those of us with discernment, did'nt care that Keane was not considered "cool". We just knew they had great talent, and that will always win out in the end.

"Celebrities" tend to hitch on to any old band wagon, hoping that some of the gloss will rub off on them.

( I don't rate the opinions of Lily Allen, Gwen Stefani, and Kanye West, very highly). :roll:

Frankly, I could'nt care less, whether these people think that the Bands I support are "cool". IMO "coolness" is in the eye of the beholder.

Well, after hearing for years that people in the music industry did'nt think Keane was "cool", perhaps it is!

Anyone watched the 3D webcast from Abbey Road yet? I haven't got any 3D glasses so can't comment on that aspect of it, but the sound is absolutely wonderful and, Martin, they do the most awesome version of Perfect Symmetry!

I've seen it briefly, and downloaded it for future viewing. Havent got 3 D glasses, but I'm not worried. Sounds nice.

Very much agree with Diana. With very very few exceptions (yes, there are some!) it's always great to hear Tom Chaplin singing anything. He has such an amazing voice, and is a really nice guy too.
