As it doesn't seem that they have had a mention I'd better give them a nod.

They have got to be the best live band around - 20 years next year and they seem to get better as the years advance. :D

Apparently headlining 'Doncaster Live 2008'.
Doncaster Market Place (2 minutes from my front door)
Saturday 19th July
FREE!

It seems that my suggestion regarding a certain other band to play at this event has fallen on deaf ears.

I saw that - am seeing them a few times this year though so doubt I'll make that one. I might have done if the fuel costs weren't so bad

I had 6 albums that I was looking forward to more than anything this year.

Beth Rowley, Paul Heaton and Jim Moray haven't disappointed at all.

Duke Special won't, Mesh-29 won't of course.

Next up through my letterbox will be The Levellers. Lyrics are so poignant and determined - just fab. The last album was different and not so Levellerish - if that makes sense. This one is back to pre "Truth and Lies".

It was an experience seeing 'em at Donny Live! A really lively set, TBH my one major memory was ending up flat on my back when I got pushed all over the place! Take it in the spirit it was intended though, and everyone helped me up again. BTW, two weeks on and I'm just getting rid of the bruises!

That's you set for new tunes for a while then in't it?!

Absolutely and my bank manager will probably say thank heavens for that!
