Still reeling from just how good the gig was last night. If anyone (other than the already 'converted') reading this forum ever gets the chance to go and see Duke live please do.
The great thing about a Duke gig is that however long a set he gets he always seems ready to play on, and on, and on. Much to the audience's delight. Unlike some other recent gigs (both large and small) the Nottingham audience was there to listen - even in the quieter songs - except where called upon to sing along of course!
My enjoyment of the gig was further enhanced by sharing the experience with two of my three favourite musicians - who seemed equally as spellbound as I was by the magic that Duke and Chip wove last night.
I think this was the setlist, although there's a bit of indecipherable scribble on my piece of paper between the 4th and 5th songs, so I could possibly have missed one.
