Just back from David's annual 'home-town' charity gig in Lewes (Sussex). Another excellent show, including the now traditional eclectic mix of covers of songs from, to name but a few; Suzanne Vega, Steve Miller Band, Meatloaf, East 17, Felice Brothers, Gladys Knight and The Pips, Britney Spears & Mariah Carey (the last mentioned featuring a bravura piano performance from one Chris Flynn - well-known to many 'in these parts' and elsewhere). And lots of Ford's material of course.

Hopefully Kerry (Naily) will post some photos here at some stage.

I know you was really looking forward to that one Martin. Sounds like it was a good night.

'Tis a good job you put Naily in brackets - was gonna say...I was nowhere near! :D (don't confuse me like that!)

Another great night tonight (last night by now of course). The last leg of the 2007 'Milk & Cookies' charity gigs at Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush, London. It's a great venue - hope mesh can get to play there one day!

It's been a long nine months since I'd last seen David Ford but this disgraceful state of affairs was rectified in style last night at the amazing Union Chapel in Islington.

A night with quite a few songs that I was hearing for the first time ever - the Ford certainly hasn't lost his touch as a songwriter and passionate live performer. His eight piece band was truly superb, with much instrument swapping going on.

And with the main 'support' being none other than the absolute genius that is Duke Special (playing a solo set mainly consisting of new songs), it's even more obvious that this was a real 'classic' amongst gigs.

If you look closely at some of the pictures (taken from behind the stage) in this thread on the David Ford forum you'll see Scott and myself (second row).
