He meets my main criteria. i.e he can sing.
I have a few Housemartins/Beautiful South cds. The only time I've seen BS live though was at Oxegen Festival in Ireland when I flew over to see Keane and they were also on the bill. They played a very good set.

Saw BS in Derby years ago and hated them. Caught them at the Fleadh a year or so later because I was too lazy to walk to the other tent - blew me away.

He's the one guy I would cancel other gigs for - and maybe, just maybe, even a football match if it came to it, to go and see.

Fortunately, he's taken all my gigs, football and travel into consideration with his latest tour dates so I can aim to do it all - not all his gigs - just his gigs and everything else I had planned. One week I think in November is going to be amazing - all being well :D

I've never been to the Glee club but sounded like a small venue. Better be quick though - I think he's sold out at least one venue already :)

Ok - be in touch via PM nearer the time to meet up.

I'd say I'd be wearing my gig clothes but they'll be ready, packed, for the next morning :D

Oh heck, I'm excited already and there's 5 weeks to go

I tried getting tickets to see him at Hull Uni, but by the time I'd got on the 'net they'd all sold out. Damn to having a weekend away!

I've been big on the Beautiful South for years, it was a bit sad how I actually came across them though so I don't really want to go into that.

I was fortunate enough to see them live twice last year. Once at Castle Howard and then again at their last ever gig at Sheffield Arena.

I hope Paul solo work goes well for him, I really do. He's a very talented bloke.

Last night was my 2nd of the 3, on this tour.

The more I hear his new stuff live the more I like it.

He wasn't quite as relaxed, last night, as he was at Oxford but great all the same.

All but 1 of the songs he sings are new to him on this tour and he is using the tour very much as a place to showcase his new stuff so is only on for just over an hour.

Really looking forward to Birmingham, assuming I can find the venue - the start of my madder than usual week too :D

*Heads off singing the outstanding and superb "Everything is Everything" in her head* :D :D :D
